The Ridge Meadows Educational Foundation The Ridge Meadows Educational Foundation works to co-ordinate fund raising initiatives for enhanced fine arts, sports and specialty programs in School District No. 42. The goal of the RMEF is to support the types of programs that encourage our youth to stay in school and experience a fuller, richer and more rounded education. The RMEF also acts as a focal point to manage bursaries and scholarships for district students. For information regarding how you can either assist us in raising funds for the Foundation, please investigate the rest of our website. And if you are a teacher or principal in School District No. 42 looking for funds through a grant process, please contact Mr. Bateson at 604.417.4524 Award supports Whonnock music program The Board of Directors of the Foundation are pleased to announce our most recent grant disbursement, which was awarded to Whonnock Elementary for their emerging music program. Chair of the Foundation, Perry Bateson, had the following to say, “When Mr. Westby, the teacher responsible for creating the new music program, contacted our Foundation, we knew his request was a perfect fit for the funds we raise for granting purposes. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that a $750.00 grant was awarded to Whonnock Elementary to be used towards the purchase of music stands, amusic cart and teacher music guides.”
